Role Overview

Saunoa is seeking grounded, energetic Sauna Hosts to facilitate authentic Finnish floating sauna experiences along the waterfront in Toronto and Ottawa. As a Host, you are the heartbeat of the space—welcoming guests, guiding them through hot-and-cold contrast therapy, maintaining space hygiene, and creating a supportive environment for community and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Hospitality & Orientation: Greet guests warmly, deliver key safety orientations, share contrast therapy benefits, and host a calm, inclusive space.

  • Sauna & Vibe Curation: Stoke heat, manage steam/water levels, disperse essential oils.

  • Operations & Sanitation: Execute opening/closing checklists, manage towel rotations, squeegee surfaces, and perform routine spot cleaning to maintain immaculate standards.

  • Cold Plunge & Facility Upkeep: Ensure safe access to the in river plunge pool casge & sauna temperatures, ensure safe tool handling, troubleshoot minor maintenance, and report issues promptly.

  • Admin & Software: Manage guest check-ins, bookings, and team scheduling using internal tools (Periode and ConnectTeam).

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Hospitality Focus: Strong background in customer service, hospitality, or community facilitation with an empathetic demeanour.

  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 20 lbs, and moving between extreme temperature variations (sauna heat and outdoor/cold plunge spaces).

  • Availability: Flexible schedule with availability for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.

  • Certifications: CPR/AED with First Aid (can be completed during onboarding).

  • Traits: Punctual, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about personal growth and contrast therapy.

Shift Times & Schedule

  • Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Sunday)

  • Evening Shift: 2:15 PM – 10:15 PM (Monday – Sunday)

Compensation & Perks

  • Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hour
